I liked this book and found it very stimulating and practical. It has some clever ideas, introduces a clear framework for understanding and social media marketing approach and then explains how the market specifications for each of the platforms of social media, while recognizing that this is part marketing puzzle is not all. It really looks like a one stop shop “in terms of coverage of more strategic concepts (including mobile media) and the practicalities of what can” buy “and” win “all the social web. I definitely recommend this book to read. His thinking, hype and specific concrete actions without a guide. The author obviously has extensive experience in this field and it shows.

In the tradition of the “For Dummies” series, Shiv Singh’s book gives a gentle nudge to marketing in the social world, with some practical advice on topics ranging from how to start a social campaign to implement the metrics. By the way, “title” For Dummies is inappropriate. Shiv ideas are very applicable to the experts, too, an example is The chapter on the construction of a social influence mobile marketing campaign. I work closely with Shiv at Razorfish and chance to enjoy the benefit of their ideas all the time.
